Beckett likens climate change deniers to Islamic terrorists

! This post hasn't been updated in over a year. A lot can change in a year including my opinion and the amount of naughty words I use. There's a good chance that there's something in what's written below that someone will find objectionable. That's fine, if I tried to please everybody all of the time then I'd be a Lib Dem (remember them?) and I'm certainly not one of those. The point is, I'm not the kind of person to try and alter history in case I said something in the past that someone can use against me in the future but just remember that the person I was then isn't the person I am now nor the person I'll be in a year's time.

The British Foreign Secretary, Margaret Beckett, has compared climate sceptics – people who say that global warming isn’t happening – to people who support Islamic terrorism and says they shouldn’t be allowed access to the media.

Beckett is obviously ignorant of the facts – the average temperature of the earth rose two degrees celsius from the late 1700’s to 1940 and has been dropping since then.  Climatge change is being used as an excuse to raise taxes and give Labour something to have credentials on in time for the next election.

Did she really say that? I cannot find out where, exactly when and what exactly she said. I’m not surprised though. Censorship of opinions contrary to its own is the mark of Labour, old or new.

Well, yes it is at present. NOAA and everyone else shows that Ice Belts and Glaciers are melting fast and the Autumn over the Uk was the midest on record (since the 1600’s anyway). Whether or not this trend will reverse itself naturally I do not know, or if it has happened before – well maybe. The fact is that it is having a major effect on the World: what we do about it – if anything – is a key topic for us and our children.
