Speed limit cut for GPS road

! This post hasn't been updated in over a year. A lot can change in a year including my opinion and the amount of naughty words I use. There's a good chance that there's something in what's written below that someone will find objectionable. That's fine, if I tried to please everybody all of the time then I'd be a Lib Dem (remember them?) and I'm certainly not one of those. The point is, I'm not the kind of person to try and alter history in case I said something in the past that someone can use against me in the future but just remember that the person I was then isn't the person I am now nor the person I'll be in a year's time.

A coroners inquest has ruled that a motorcyclist killed on a Telford road a year ago was killed because the driver of a lorry drove down the wrong side of the road whilst following duff instructions on a GPS sat-nav system.

In his report, the coroner has called for improved signage to stop it happening again.  Telford & Wrekin Council are going to stop it happening again by … reducing the speed limit!

Telford was built for motorists, public transport is abysmal but the council still insists on pursuing a vendetta against car drivers.

This is the problem with these nannying ninnies Wonko, they have simple minds that are incapable of cognising any other factors in road safety, driving dangerously means putting other road users in danger. Ignorance of the meaning of road signs, dozy, half asleep drivers, drug and drink drivers, uninsured illegal drivers who couldn’t give a feck
    who they kill.
That is why Labours policy of replacing dedicated traffic police officers with speed cameras is an abject failure to protect the public whom they allegedly are there to serve.

I went to Telford once. Thought the town ‘centre’ was a complete dump… yet another reason not to reduce the speed limit. It is important that people should be able to whizz through it as fast as possible.

Hmm… interesting. I have always thought that people should drive according to what they see through their windshield, not the computer screen.
