I liked the N70 but the "N" Series Nokia's are unreliable. Of course, the old "3" series was the last truly reliable range of phones Nokia ever produced but we'd still be using phones connected to batteries the size of house bricks if reliability was the only factor. I still like this HTC Touch, none of the niggles with it are annoying me enough to want to throw it up the wall like with the N70 when it kept rebooting in the middle of calls. Will have to see if I can get my grubby mits on one to test. Currently considering a Nokia N810, the as-yet-unreleased followup to the N800 Internet tablet. No phone capabilites (yet), but with the increasing amounts of free Wi-Fi (supposedly every McDonald's in the country by Christmas, for one), I'm seriously interested.
