I didn't believe it for a second and judging by the sections of road filmed by the BBC my doubts were more than justified. Well said. Once again the goverment is tinkering with the motorist so it doesnt have to face up to bankers,social workers, nhs pensions etc etc. what annoys me is how they distort stats to support there weak arguments. why put average speed on a safe stretch of road. DERRRR is it me but shouldnt it go on a dnagerous bit? also longer term we will all drive about focused on the speedo, not looking where we are going. i have driven for 40 yrs and i am unsafe these days as i spend too much time looking at the speedo, driving slowly and trying to spot speed cameras and scamera vans.Not looking where i am going and spotting hazards!! couldnt agree with you more.
