The BBC has made Bristol Welsh

! This post hasn't been updated in over a year. A lot can change in a year including my opinion and the amount of naughty words I use. There's a good chance that there's something in what's written below that someone will find objectionable. That's fine, if I tried to please everybody all of the time then I'd be a Lib Dem (remember them?) and I'm certainly not one of those. The point is, I'm not the kind of person to try and alter history in case I said something in the past that someone can use against me in the future but just remember that the person I was then isn't the person I am now nor the person I'll be in a year's time.

Last year the BBC moved filming of Casualty from Bristol, where the programme is based, to Cardiff.

Since moving to Wales, most of the extras are now Welsh – presumably recruited from the local population.  We now have the ludicrous situation where, if you watch Casualty, you would be led to believe that most people in Bristol are Welsh.

When the filming of Dr Who was moved to the same studios in Cardiff, the Doctor suddenly found himself talking to an awful lot of Welsh people and spending a lot of time in Welsh towns and villages.  No doubt the new series of Upstairs Downstairs that is being filmed there will be based in a London full of Welsh people as well.

The BBC’s desperation to spread the British brand through the “nations and regions” has ruined one of its flagship programmes and frankly, I couldn’t care less if I never see Casualty again.

Last year they moved some School drama based and filmed in Rochdale (can’t remember the name) to Scotland. The BBC needs winding down.

I stopped watching casualty many years ago when it dawned on me that almost every episode would feature a scene of a brutish and stupid white person(preferably male) being firmly put in their place by the superior wisdom and compassion of a black/asian person(pref female and if it could be shoehorned in there wearing colourful ethnic clothing to emphasize the diversity).
The BBCs propaganda is so blatent it amazes me that more people dont see it and start switching over.

The only time I’ve ever seen Casualty is when I switch on and catch the last minute or two while I’m waiting for the next programme/show. What little of casualty I catch, goes in one ear and out the other. I realised years ago that almost everything the BBC broadcasts is not fit for consumption by normal civilised human beings.
