The Foreign & Commonwealth Office have responded today with the following:

Thank-you for your email. I apologise for the short delay in getting back to you.

We are not treating your email as an FOI request as no EU Treaty was drafted at the European Council in December. So I have passed your email asking about the Prime Minister’s rejection of a new EU Treaty and a financial transaction tax to my colleagues in our Europe Directorate for a response. They will be in touch shortly.

No treaty? That’s interesting because according to the Conservative Party website on the 9th of December …

The Conservatives misleading the public? Surely not.If you read the FOI request that we submitted, the first question asks for a copy of the treaty that Cameron vetoed and “If no draft treaty exists, please provide a précis of the intended purpose and contents of the proposed treaty”. So no thanks, a statement from the EU Directorate isn’t really good enough.

Thank you for your reply. In the first question in my request I said “If no draft treaty exists, please provide a précis of the intended purpose and contents of the proposed treaty”. As no treaty exists but the proposed contents of said treaty were “vetoed” this information must surely exist and as such I should be entitled to it under the FOIA, notwithstanding the usual restrictions around national security/interest.

UKIP has launched a petition calling for a referendum on our continued membership of the European Empire.

Ignoring the fact that the petition says Great Britain when it should say United Kingdom (another of my pet hates!) it’s one worth signing. This petition is going to be a big one, a lot of resources are being put into it.

The mild irritation caused by the British government and the European Empire calling the EU “Europe” finally reached tipping point the other day.

Europe Minister? No, EU Minister. European Commission? No, EU Commission. European Parliament? No, EU Parliament. European president? No, EU president.

The Europe Minister isn’t responsible for British government policy for the whole of Europe, just for the EU. The European Parliament isn’t a parliament for the whole of Europe, just the EU.

This irritating conflation of “Europe” and “EU” has prompted the first Bloggers4UKIP Number 10 petition: stop referring to the EU as “Europe”.

Other petitions that may be of interest …

Conservative Home has confirmed what we’ve been saying along – the Tories will not hold the referendum they promised on the Lisbon Treaty/EU Constitution.

Tim Montgomerie has tried to spin David Camoron‘s treachery claiming that the last line of his cast-iron guarantee to hold a referendum means that no promise is being broken:

No treaty should be ratified without consulting the British people in a referendum

Montgomerie emphasises the word “ratified” because that is apparently the reason why promising a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty/EU Constitution isn’t really a promise to hold a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty/EU Constitution. It means that the bit before …

Today, I will give this cast-iron guarantee: If I become PM a Conservative government will hold a referendum on any EU treaty that emerges from these negotiations.

… isn’t a “cast-iron guarantee” to hold a referendum on the EU treaty that emerged from the negotiations – namely the Lisbon Treaty.

Montgomerie then goes on to say that David Camoron, having lied to his party, the Sun and the electorate by saying that he will hold a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty/EU Constitution when he has no intention of doing so, “deserves the continuing support of eurosceptics”. On what basis?

The next Conservative government will seek a “manifesto mandate” for renegotiation

And this shows how findamentally dishonest David Camoron, the Tories and Conservative Home are. When the Lisbon Treaty/EU Constitution comes into force it is not possible to renegotiate our relationship with the European Empire.

The British government will not be able to repatriate powers from the European Empire without the unanimous agreement of every member state.

The Lisbon Treaty/EU Constitution introduces qualified majority voting – where we no longer have a veto – for a huge amount of policy areas.

The Lisbon Treaty/EU Constitution is not a menu from which we can pick and choose the least damaging and costly clauses – it replaces the Treaty of Rome, the treaty that established the EEC (now the EU). It would be like Puerto Rico joining the United States and picking only half od the US constitution.

The only way to renegotiate our relationship with the European Empire is to leave.

But even if David “I don’t agree Britain would be better off by leaving the European Union” Camoron was forced into holding a referendum on leaving the European Empire it would still require the unanimous agreement of all member states before we could leave following a two year “cooling off period”.

In August 2007, David Camoron told the Shropshire Star:

I don’t agree Britain would be better off by leaving the European Union. Instead, we need to work within the EU to fight for change but on the question of referendums, I do want to see one on the EU Treaty because that’s what everyone was promised. The Conservative Party is campaigning very hard on just this. Other European leaders say the latest EU Treaty is a return of the constitution in all but name so whether or not he keeps the promise to hold the referendum is a real test for Gordon Brown. It will show whether he means what he says when he talks about restoring trust in government, and involving people more in decisions.

Hoisted by his own petard. David Camoron promised a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty/EU Constiution and he has renaged on that promise. This was a real test for the man widely expected to be prime minister next year and he failed. In his own words, it shows that he doesn’t mean what he says about restoring trust in government and involving people more in decisions.

David Camoron is a fundamentally dishonest man, as is the Conservative and European Unionist party he leads. The vast majority of the Tory membership is opposed to the Lisbon treaty/EU Constitution, they are opposed to the European Empire and the wholesale transfer of our sovereignty to unelected eurocrats on the continent but they have been betrayed by their leader and his euofederalist colleagues.

But don’t have too much sympathy for the eurosceptic Tories who have lost their party to eurofederalist traitors – they have allowed it to happen and they allow it continue happening by continuing to support the party that has betrayed them. And people like Tim Montgomerie – collaborators with, and apologists for, the eurofederalist leadership – deserve no sympathy at all for losing the party they have worked so hard for. They sense that power is within their grasp and even though their party no longer represents their views, they will happily put their principles to one side and betray their country to be part of it.

If the Conservative Party no longer represents your views (how could it?) then you have two options. You can either continue to support and vote for the Tories and allow yourself to be part of David Camoron‘s eurofederalist mandate or you can vote for a party that does represent your views, one that will withdraw this once great nation from the European Empire. That party is, of course, UKIP.

Don’t let yourself be conned into believing that you have to vote Conservative to stop Liebour or the Lib Dims from getting into power – why vote for someone you don’t want to keep out someone else you don’t want? Lesser of two evils? Don’t make me laugh – there’s barely a cigarette paper between Liebour and the Tories. David Camoron will never renegotiate our relationship with his beloved European Empire, the Tory policy of “reform from within” is a falacy.

Vote Conservative, get Brussels. Vote UKIP, get our country back.

The people of Ireland have been bullied, cheated and bribed into voting for the EU Constitution aka the Lisbon Treaty.

Despite yesterday’s referendum being on exactly the same Treaty already rejected this year in Ireland, the Irish have been conned into believing the “guarantees” they have been given that the Treaty will be changed are legally binding when they are nothing more than the crooked words of crooked eurofederalist politicians.

They have been threatened with isolation and losing the considerable subsidies they currently get from the European Empire if they voted no and been subjected to a massive propaganda campaign using both their own taxes and money from the European Empire.

This time, the “no” campaign was given less media coverage than the “yes” campaign after regulators in Ireland said that it was legal for broadcasters to be biased towards the Irish government’s campaign.

The only way Lisbon can be stopped now is if the Polish and Czech presidents can hold out on their ratification until the next general election in this country and hope that the Tories stick to their word and suspend ratification while they hold a referendum. However, the Polish president is unlikely to hold out for more than a few days and the Czech president is going to find it very difficult to hold out for 7 months, even with a legal challenge expected to last a few months. On top of all that, David Camoron is a fundamentally dishonest traitor who has repeatedly confirmed that he fully supports ever closer union.

The Lisbon Treaty is unlawful in this country as it binds future parliaments – something that is illegal under English law – but our corrupt, politicised judges will never stand up to their political masters. Camoron will be breathing a huge sigh of relief this afternoon that the Lisbon Treaty will most likely be ratified by the time of the next election and that he won’t have to pretend not to want it.

Once it is ratified, the Lisbon Treaty can’t be modified or repealed by our own parliament. The only way to rescind it will be to leave the EU and once the Lisbon Treaty is in force, leaving will require the unanimous agreement of our “partners” in the European Empire and a two year cooling off period. They will never agree so we will be in for a fight – perhaps even the threat of troops on our streets from the EU national army that Lisbon will create or the arrest of any politicians involved in leaving by the EU police force that Lisbon will create. But the only way we will ever be rid of these fascists is by voting UKIP – the only party that is committed to leaving the European Empire … with or without their permission.

Meanwhile, did you hear the one about the Frenchman, the Dutchman and the Irishman that had a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty …

Not for me and not for the vast majority of the electorate who would rather return to bartering with livestock than replace the pound with the Euro.

Nobody in their right mind would willingly abandon the pound and adopt a currency that’s run by and for France and Germany. But then Mandy isn’t in his right mind, not by a long shot.
Of course, Mandy’s suggestion that we should adopt the Euro might have something to do with the fact that he risks losing his very generous taxpayer-funded EU pension if he fails to promote the European Empire.

The British government has unveiled plans to install gas and electricity smart meters in every house at the customer’s expense. Installation of the smart meters will be mandatory.

According to the British government, the meters will save consumers money and reduce CO2 emissions. The meters don’t make electricity or gas cheaper and they don’t reduce the amount of electricity or gas an appliance consumes but they will cost the consumer money to install. This makes them cheaper because …. ?

But of course, as with so many bloody stupid ideas that end up costing us money, it isn’t the British government’s idea at all …

Last week, European politicians voted to roll out smart meters in every building across the Continent by 2022, and set an 80% installation target for 2020. The technology relays info about household electricity use and prices to consumers, who can then alter their habits to cut energy bills often by over 50%.

The European Empire strikes again and once again it’s the consumer that ends up paying the cost of the Empire’s stupid ideas. But at least we know how it’s going to save us money – we can alter our evil capitalist ways and be good little eco-friendly socialists reading Captain Euro magazines to our children by candlelight. In other words, it’s not going to save us money at all – it’s going to cost every household money to install something that is going to save the gas and electricity companies millions because they won’t need meter readers any more.

The economy has hit rock bottom, most of the world is in recession and national debt is touching 150% of GDP so obviously the priority for everyone in the country has got to be spending £7bn on smart peters

Now, it’s important not to confuse the UK First Party with the British First Party, which is a different British fascist party, or the England First Party which appears to have borrowed half of its manifesto from Mein Kampf.

The UK First Party was co-founded by Peter Cole, the now ex-chairman of the UKIP Fenland branch which he dissolved when he set up his new party. Peter Cole has been in open revolt against Nigel Farage and the NEC for some time now.

The UK First Party blog gives an insight into what we can expect from them in the future. They are making much of the fact that Peter Cole is Tom Wise MEP’s secretary and the fact that both Tom Wise and Ashley Mote might not think they’re complete fruitcakes. According to the blog, Wise and Mote are both UKIP MEPs. They may have been elected as UKIP MEPs but they were both expelled from the party – Mote because he was charged with fraud and is currently on police bail and Wise because he was accused of fraud by the EU (over his secretarial expenses, incidently).

So while they are telling readers that they have the secretary of a UKIP MEP in their party and two UKIP MEPs that might support them, the truth is that two independent MEPs – one of which is a convicted fraudster – haven’t laughed at them and the secretary of one of those independent MEPs is a founder of their party. Not exactly the coup they make it out to be!

The official leader of the UK First Party is Rebecca Faye Hilman and its treasurer is Tamsin Ruth Bowden and the registered address – 18 Falconers Mews in Swindon – is someone’s house on a new housing development. The UK First Party doesn’t have any registered emblems and bizarrely, they’ve declared themselves not to be a small party. Where they’re going to find 10 grand to field a candidate in an EU election is anyone’s guess.

The UK First Party has been compared to Veritas, perhaps a little unkindly. Veritas is, after all, still limping along in relative obscurity 4 years after Robert Kiljoy-Slick started it all off.

England is denied EU aid benefit by Labour

The Labour Government is denying England a windfall from the European Union yet it is making sure that Wales, Scotland and Ulster benefit.

The fall in the value of the pound has increased the value of euro-denominated EU grants by a fifth and the European Commission has offered a six-month extension to its December 2008 deadline to all countries for unused funds as part of a 200 billion euro (£178 billion) economic stimulus package.

Labour took up the option for Scotland, Wales and Ulster, but rejected it for England. Only recently Brown and his ministers held their cabinet meeting in Liverpool to demonstrate solidarity with the people of Merseyside in the midst of the recession.

However, in 1989 he signed the Scottish Claim of Right, in which he pledged “to make the interests of Scotland paramount” in everything he said and did.

As Prime Minister we rightly expect him to show and even-handed attitude towards all the nations of the UK.

Anyone who feels angry at this anti-English action might consider joining the Campaign for an English Parliament. Our number is 07071 220234, which is not a mobile number. Our website address is http://www.thecep.org.uk/wordpress/

While Wales and Ulster have their own assemblies and Scotland has its own parliament, England has no such parliament or assembly. Labour cares for the UK’s Celtic nations, while treating England with contempt.

Derek has set the bar high – not only did he get across a very valid point on the blatant discrimination the English suffer at the hands of the British government, he also got the CEP phone number and website address in the letter as well!

Total have exposed Gordon Brown’s “British jobs for British people” pledge for what it is – a big fat lie.

Gordon Brown can’t do a single thing to ensure that jobs in the UK are given to people from these isles because control of our borders was handed over to Federal Europe years ago.

Total has awarded a contract to an Italian company to put some new equipment into Lindsey Oil Refinery who are sending over 300 Italians to do the work instead of employing locals. Workers at the refinery walked out on strike 3 days ago and thousands of other workers in the energy industry have walked out in support of them.

The British government can do nothing to stop this except abuse anti-terrorism laws to break the pickets. They can’t give Total or their Italian contractor a bung to employ locals because that would be illegal under EU law. They can’t stop the Italian workers from coming over to work here because that would be illegal under EU law.

The LibLabCon are all committed to keeping the UK in the EU, we have to leave and UKIP is the only major party committed to leaving the EU and running our country by ourselves, for ourselves.

Last week the island of Sark in the Channel Islands held its first ever election for the Chief Pleas, the parliament of Sark. Sark is a Crown Dependency and is therefore not part of the UK or the EU but the elections were held to comply with the EU Convention on Human Rights.

Until last week Sark was a feudal state with the unelected Seigneur as head of the Chief Pleas which was itself comprised of the tenants of the original 40 quarantaine. The Seigneur will continue as the feudal lord of the island but the island’s government will now be elected.

Progress has its price, however. The Barclay brothers, owners of the Torygraph and the Ritz hotel, are a bit pissed off because their candidates did badly in the election. They own the island of Brecqhou, one of the quarantaine and are a law unto themselves. They regularly break Sark law, driving cars and using helicopters and have been accused of tax evasion. They have even tried to claim independence from Sark.

In retaliation for not voting for their candidates, the Barclay’s have closed their businesses on the island and put 140 people out of a job. The island only has just under 500 inhabitants, no social security and residents aren’t entitled to claim benefits from the British government.

So that’s another economy devastated and half the working population of Sark out of a job because of Federal Europe. But hey, at least they get to put an “X” next to a name every few years.

Earlier today I wrote about the EU Parliament voting to abolish the UK’s opt-out of the EU Working Time Directive. Predictably, the majority of MEPs voted to abolish the UK’s opt-out even though it has nothing to do with their own countries.

Bizarrely, the European Parliament has voted against the European Council and European Commission and decided to include on-call in working time for the purposes of the directive.

So what does this mean? Let me put a personal perspective on this act of lunacy …

I work for a large multi-national supporting a couple of IT systems for a government department that require 24 hour support. The systems are predominantly supported by myself and another person on-site during core hours of 8am and 6pm. To provide the 24 hour support, we take it in turns to be on-call at home and go into the office if something goes wrong.

From my employers point of view this decision by the European Parliament drops them in the brown stuff because they will have to employ another four people to provide 24 hour support for these systems.

From my own point of view this decision drops me very deeply in the brown stuff because being on-call supplements my income by several thousand pounds a year. With a wife and four children to support, I’m going to rely on tax credits to plug the gap.

As is so often the case with decisions emanating from our masters on the continent, the rights that they parade in front of us as examples of the benefit of EU membership aren’t really rights at all, they’re obligations. Workers in the UK currently have the right to refuse to work more than 48 hours per week but that’s not good enough for the eurocrats who insist that workers exercise their “rights” whether they want to or not.

Abolishing the opt-out is going to cost the UK billions. The cost to the taxpayer alone is going to be huge in topping up wages and paying increased costs for PFI projects and contracts with private companies.

I wonder if this is another one of those obvious benefits of EU membership the British government talks about when anyone questions why we’re paying billions of pounds a year to belong to the EUSSR.

Two English men have successfully challenged South Yorkshire Police’s decision to retain their DNA samples even though neither of them have been convicted of a crime.

The Police have amassed the world’s largest database of DNA samples, a sizeable proportion of which were retained illegally before the law was changed to allow them to keep DNA samples of innocent people.

A handful of people have successfully managed to have their DNA samples destroyed on request but South Yorkshire Police evidently refused to do so and the case ended up with the European Court of Human Rights where 17 judges ruled unanimously that the practice is in contravention of the European Convention on Human Rights and therefore illegal.

The fascist bitch, Jacqui Smith, said that the existing illegal law will remain in place and Police will continue to illegally collect and retain DNA samples of innocent people until they’ve decided what to do about the judgement.

I’ve already written my letter requesting the destruction of the fingerprints and DNA samples the Police have on file for me following my arrest a few years ago after a malicious accusation of assault which I proved I was incapable of committing for the two reasons that I was at home talking to someone on MSN at the time and that I was (and still am) medically incapable of doing what I was accused of doing.

The Bank of England is loaning £100m to the UK arm of Landsbanki so that it can repay its UK customers.

Landisbanki was nationalised by the Icelandic government last week and its UK arm closed down leaving customers here unable to access their money.

The Icelandic foreign minister has responded to the economic problems there – national debt at 500% of GDP and their top 3 banks nationalised – by saying that their long term goal is now to join the EU and the Euro and get bailed out by the European Central Bank. No, that’s not a joke. He said:

In the short term, out defence is co-operation with the International Monetary Fund and in the long term EU membership, adoption of the euro and backup from the European Central Bank.

So what he is, in fact, saying is that the English taxpayer will be bailing out one of their now state-owned banks and then bailing out the entire country if it joins the EU and becomes a net recipient of EU funding. Not what I would call a good deal for the English taxpayer and if they do go down the route of joining the EU, not a good deal for Icelanders. Their economy is up shit creek now but if they join the EU their paddles will be confiscated and given to a French farmer to use as kindling to set fire to his fields. The Icelandic economy was, until recently, reliant on fishing, banking and services. Banking is a no-brainer from now on, services are looking a bit dubious but fishing will at least let them feed themselves. But not with an EU fishing quota though – they’ll end up throwing more back in the sea than they take home and that’s assuming the Spanish don’t get the quotas first like they did in our waters.

I wonder if the Icelanders have an equivalent phrase for “out of the frying pan and into the fire”.

Our beloved leader, President McBrown, threw carbon footprint to the wind and jetted off to Europe at the weekend to decide on a common EU response to the economic problems but when push came to shove, national interest came first for our federalist colleagues over the water.

The Republic of Ireland announced it was guaranteeing ever last penny cent of savers’ deposits and the EU started flapping. Then Greece followed suit and announced that it, too, would guarantee all of savers’ money.

How very un-European of them not to adopt the common EU policy of doing bugger all.

Then it got interesting because the German Chancellor, Reichsführer Merkel, announced that Germany would also guarantee all deposits. Quiet panic spread round EU governments – the EU’s Minister for Propaganda has done something without telling them what they should do!

Now Austria and Denmark have guaranteed savings and the European Bundesbank Central Bank has said that it will give the European banking sector whatever liquidity it needs for as long as it needs.

None of this has helped though – stock markets around the world are taking massive hits. The FTSE has dropped well below the 5,000 mark for the first time in years and the UK economy is in recession. Major banks have failed and governments are still throwing billions of pounds at them in the vain hope that things will get better. They won’t, not for a year or two.

If the current economic troubles have shown us anything, it is just how weak the EU is. The federalists claim that we are stronger together, united in our aims, yada yada yada. But when it comes down to a straight choice between national interests and EUish interests, the whole thing falls apart. Eurosceptics should draw small comfort from the duff economy – money is going to be tight, some people are going to lose their homes and jobs; but the EU has been exposed for the sham that it is and our economic recovery will be a damn sight quicker without interference from our masters in Brussels.

Via an Englishman’s Castle, an Australian holocaust denier has been arrested in the UK to be extradited to Germany to stand trial for breaking their holocaust denial laws.

Dr Toben runs a holocaust denial website which is illegal in Germany but not in England. He was in transit from the US to Dubai, stopping off in the UK, when police boarded the plane and arrested him for German thought crimes.

Toben will be extradited to Germany under a European Arrest Warrant – another anti-terrorism law that’s being abused – which requires only that the subject of the warrant has been accused of something that is a crime in an EU member state. No evidence is required, or even requested. There is no right of appeal and extradition is granted automatically. Most importantly, the offence that the subject is accused of doesn’t have to be a crime in the country it was supposed to have been committed in.

Under EU rules, Germany would have been within its rights to have demanded the extradition of Prince Harry for breaking their laws banning the glorification of Naziism when he dressed up in an SS uniform because, despite being a prince and 3rd in line to the throne, under EU rules he is an ordinary EU citizen.
