I like to think i have a sense of humour and can stand being the butt of a pisstake. But i confess to finding it quite offensive when people treat me like i'm daft not deaf(ish) Why are those of us with hearing loss expected to be embarassed by using an aid? The myopic are not embarassed by their use of spectacles? As someone else who has hearing loss, i know how you feel.
