! This post hasn't been updated in over a year. A lot can change in a year including my opinion and the amount of naughty words I use. There's a good chance that there's something in what's written below that someone will find objectionable. That's fine, if I tried to please everybody all of the time then I'd be a Lib Dem (remember them?) and I'm certainly not one of those. The point is, I'm not the kind of person to try and alter history in case I said something in the past that someone can use against me in the future but just remember that the person I was then isn't the person I am now nor the person I'll be in a year's time.
Today is the 5 year anniversary of that momentous occassion … when Mrs Sane and I got engaged. Was I going to let the worlds worst terrorist attack put me off when I’d finally plucked up the courage and carefully laid my plans? Was I buggery!
Sad to think that apparently no lessons have been learnt because we are more at risk now than we were then.

It’s a pity the yanks don’t commemorate something else that happened on the 11th September (1973) – the CIA sponsored, organised and sanctioned violent overthrow of President Allende’s democratically elected government in Chile. Pinochet was installed – thousands died during the overthrow, thousands more during Pinochet’s reign of terror – and democracy was suspended…..
Maybe, the Chile episode says everything about America’s subtle as a brick in the nuts foreign policy – and of their skewed vision of the world?
