I’m in a book!

! This post hasn't been updated in over a year. A lot can change in a year including my opinion and the amount of naughty words I use. There's a good chance that there's something in what's written below that someone will find objectionable. That's fine, if I tried to please everybody all of the time then I'd be a Lib Dem (remember them?) and I'm certainly not one of those. The point is, I'm not the kind of person to try and alter history in case I said something in the past that someone can use against me in the future but just remember that the person I was then isn't the person I am now nor the person I'll be in a year's time.

Many thanks to Iain Dale for putting Wonko’s World at #47 in the list of top 100 non-aligned political blogs in his new book.

I must say, I am honoured and a bit bewildered to be included in a list that includes the likes of Guido, the CEP, Devil’s Kitchen, Tim Worstall, Tom Griffin and many other top-notch bloggers (a number of Witanagemot bloggers have made it onto the list too).  The URL in the book points to my old blog but I’m sure people will find their way over here if they decide to take a look.

Typical, none of my Skye or MSN contacts are online and I want to gloat.

Fascism is “authoritarian nationalist political ideology” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism)

    – you have a link to the “campaign for an English parliment”

Frankly, this is offensive. Parliment cares nothing for anywhere except England (specifically the home counties/the south/London). Parliment took the money from other countries/areas of Great Britain and sent it straight to London. The Scottish oil BILLIONS which were stolen being an example:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/how-black-gold-was-hijacked-north-sea-oil-and-the-betrayal-of-scotland-518697.html

“Your” government supressed a scientific report into the viability of the oil fields in the North sea around Scotland, which would have allowed Scotland to become self sufficient and even MORE fiscally stable that England. This is a documented fact and just one example of the many, racist, political “solutions” imposed upon others without discussion or consent.

Parliment retains control of issues of taxation, policy and international politics and has the power to override the consitituent country’s own majority vote decisions (the infamous poll tax being yet another example)

    – “We” are the other peoples of the UNITED KINGDOM who are sick to the fucking back teeth of the overriding focus placed on ENGLAND at the expense of the Union. Even the north of England finds itself poorer for the sake of the south.

    – The English media FREQUENTLY refers to Scottish sportsmen as “British” when it appears a victory of some sort is in the offing (Andy Murray, anyone?) only to revert to referring to the individual(s) after any defeat as “Scottish”

I have English relatives, they are open minded, democratic and agree with the statements placed here (as it would be moronic to contradict the truth when it is so evident by example). I have no problem with people of any creed, nationality or identity. My problem is with idiots that espouse a narrow-minded, divisive, Imperial attitude to the modern world.

Read modern history for an understanding of where nationalism has lead mankind in the past one hundred years.

I submit, therefore, that your idiotic “campaign for an English parliment” and the short sighted, anti – democratic, nationalistic content of this blog are both fascist and offensive.

I’d like to add as a footnote, that “we” referred to every single citizen of the world who found the performance of your national team in the world cup both hilarious and (hopefully) humbling for you all after the months and months of puff-chested, overconfident tosh we had to endure in the media.

    Sincerely,

    A concerned Briton.
