Lest We Forget

! This post hasn't been updated in over a year. A lot can change in a year including my opinion and the amount of naughty words I use. There's a good chance that there's something in what's written below that someone will find objectionable. That's fine, if I tried to please everybody all of the time then I'd be a Lib Dem (remember them?) and I'm certainly not one of those. The point is, I'm not the kind of person to try and alter history in case I said something in the past that someone can use against me in the future but just remember that the person I was then isn't the person I am now nor the person I'll be in a year's time.

Millions of servicemen and women gave their lives for their country, the least the British government can do is Honour the Covenant.

Honour the covenent?fat chance, remember that service people are mostly white, christian, right wing(ish)stand on their own 2 feet kind of people, exactly the kind of people that dont vote liebour,so of course the bloody socialists want to punish them.so they get sent off to die in a pointless foreign war so that tony fucking bliar can mince around playing at being a world statesman.I loathe the taliban and all their fellow islamofascists but I would love to see that grinning arsehole blair and his letter box mouthed bitch of a wife in orange jumpsuits starring in an al-quaida video.

There’s a time and a place. This is the place but not the time.

I agree, with Wonko. You’re going a bit far Andy – by calling the liebores socialists, I mean.

Good to see the Legion being assertive on this, by the way. I fear however that because of the scale of the current conflicts in terms of participation, this is something the government will continue to dodge. For servicepersonnel and their families, it can only get worse as the conflicts drag on (and are perhaps increased), the cuts and privatisations witnessed in the rest of the public sector will continue to impact upon the armed forces.

I’ve had worse comments, I just think that it wasn’t the right time or post.
