Link Removed: George Ashcroft

! This post hasn't been updated in over a year. A lot can change in a year including my opinion and the amount of naughty words I use. There's a good chance that there's something in what's written below that someone will find objectionable. That's fine, if I tried to please everybody all of the time then I'd be a Lib Dem (remember them?) and I'm certainly not one of those. The point is, I'm not the kind of person to try and alter history in case I said something in the past that someone can use against me in the future but just remember that the person I was then isn't the person I am now nor the person I'll be in a year's time.

I’ve just removed my link to George Ashcroft’s website from my sidebar as it’s no longer worthy of a link.

George Ashcroft is a Conswervative councillor in Telford and was the first Conswervative councillor to take a seat in the Stirchley & Brookside parish.  When he set up his blog he was the first councillor in Telford to have a website but after going downhill recently he has rebranded it as “Liberty Talks”.

The one comment I have left on the new website – pointing out that if the British government decided to follow Spain’s lead and reduce the national speed limit, it would only apply to trunk roads outside of England – was deleted so I guess only comments agreeing with what George says will be approved now.

I was interested to know who had created the website for him – the previous one was pretty poor but this one is even worse – so I looked up the office address: BM Liberty Talks, London WC1N 3XX in Google.

BM Network seems to be some sort of umbrella group, mainly for gay and trans-gender support or campaign groups including the militant gay rights group, Stonewall.  It’s also home for an eco-facist network, Earth First Action, and a group for pagans and witches.  Ordo Templi Orientis, a masonic lodge, is also listed there along with the Animal Liberation Front animal rights terrorist organisation.  Interestingly, it’s also home to the British First Party, a neo-Nazi party that makes the BNP look like Guardian readers.

A strange mix of people for a Conswervative councillor to be associating with.

I think you will find that is a British Monomarks address (http://www.britishmonomarks.co.uk/), very similar to a PO Box.

The association to BM Network couldn’t be further from the truth, I believe that the particular site in question is considerally more eyecatching and ever so more pleasent that the previous dull conservative colours.

Do you have a hatred towards the site itself or the person behind the site?

    From Georgeashcroft.com:

It appears that I have once again caught the attention of Stuart Parr over at http://www.wonkosworld.co.uk/wordpress

From reading his latest post it seems that he is entirely ignorant as to how the mailing address of this website operates.

To put it simply, the BM bit stands for British Monomarks who are a virtual office and mailbox provider in London. I have no control or knowledge of their other clients anymore than I would if I had hired a PO Box from the Royal Mail.

Sorry Stuart, but there is no great conspiracy and I am sorry you do not like the site. Feel free to try and put your post on the site again as there might have been a problem.

Blurred graphics in dirty colours …

    Neither.

Whose client base seems to consist mainly of facists and extremists. BM is more expensive than a PO Box which superficially gives the same non-geographic anonymity.

    I’ll pass.

I believe you need a new browser as you seem to have a rendering problem and/or monitor issues. I fail to see \”dirty\” colours, as you describe. In fact, the previous colour scheme was darker and duller than it is now.

It is also rather humourous, how you have attempted to associate Mr Ashcroft and his website, to that of some trully evil and bizzare organistations.
BritishMonomarks provide a unique service in Great Britain, therefore I find it quite difficult to grasp your misunderstanding.

Besides, Mr Ashcroft happens to be a councellor, as such his private details are posted on the T&W website. I would think the whole intention of using BM is not to hide, which would as previously stated be pointless due to the T&W website. But prehaps to have an air of regality with a London address.

I have a letterbox in my front door. I believe racists, paedophiles and terrorists also have letterboxes in their front doors, so it’s obvious that I associate with racists, paedophiles and terrorists then. Interesting logic!

I take my hat off to you for removing George Ashcroft’s link. If anyone had the time or could even be bothered to waste their time to investigate this so called man they would discover that his only loyalty is to HIMSELF!!! No political party wants him! From his days in the national front to this day he had been hopping between parties trying to find one that will agree with him 100% and only him! If they don’t well he just walks on by blaming everyone but himself…………….he even brought a dead man’s name (Paul Doyle)chairman of TAWPA into disrepute! Check out Telford and Wrekin Council site and search for Paul Doyle.
