How many times have you been told “it won’t snow, it’s too cold”? Hundreds I expect but has it ever occurred to you how it manages to snow in Antarctica where the temperature never goes above freezing point, even at the coast?
There is only one temperature where it is too cold to snow and that’s -237°C, the temperature at which atoms freeze. The colder it gets the less likely it is to snow but it can snow, theoretically, at as high as +8ºC.
Too cold to snow?

Yes an urban myth, just like the one about the English Flag of St George being “hijacked” by the far Right and ” we must try and get it back” It used to be the Union Flag that was hated by the Lefties the “butchers apron” they called it.
The English hardly saw their own flag flying till Devolution so of course it was jumped on by the haters of England when the people started to fly it.
This is one urban myth that must be denounced when ever it rears it’s ugly head.
i thought it was a geeky technical issue?
If conditions are right it ‘snows’ if they are not, it is ice that falls out the sky?
and Hail needs its on special geeky ways too
Minus 273 not 237
