Protest Propaganda

Protesters from the English & Welsh Defence League and anti-fascist fascists rioted in Birmingham yesterday – a repeat of events a couple of weeks ago when the English & Welsh Defence League marched on Birmingham City Centre and the fascist Unite Against Fascism came out in force to protest at them.

The BBC News website seems to be a bit light on information about the protest but there are pictures and a video on the Daily Mail website.  The BBC did mention the fact that there was going to be a protest a couple of days ago but they mysteriously seem to have glossed over the finer details of the violence during the protest itself.  Well I say mysteriously but there’s not much mystery about if you look at the pictures on the Daily Mail website.

The pictures show the English & Welsh Defence League protesters (who the media have decided to rename the English Defence League) and the “anti-fascist” protesters who are all Asians.  So not actually anti-fascist protesters, but Asian protesters.  This is the reason why the BBC have been vague.

There’s no doubt that the English & Welsh Defence League are racists and intent on causing trouble but why were the UAF allowed to stage a counter-protest a fortnight ago and muslims allowed to stage a counter-protest yesterday in the same place as the English & Welsh Defence League, knowing full well that it would end up causing trouble?  The police have the power to prevent the two protests from taking place in the same place at the same time so why didn’t they use it?

I’m not interested in race politics and I would certainly never support a group like the English & Welsh Defence League but the biased reporting irritates me.  They are not the English Defence League, they are the English and Welsh Defence League and the protesters yesterday were Asians, not anti-fascists.

The British establishment will be wringing its hands over the emergence of the English & Welsh Defence League and trying to think of ways to shut them down but none of them will accept any of the blame for the existence of groups like this (there are more that have recently come into being) despite it being almost entirely down to their anti-English policies and refusal to deal with moderate English nationalist groups like the Campaign for an English Parliament.  Maybe now their head-in-the-sand approach to English nationalism, immigration and self-imposed segregation has spawned various extremist groups the British government will pay more attention to moderate English nationalists before they have home-grown terrorists to deal with as well as imported ones?

UK Citizenship Test: Load of Bollocks

I just took the bullshit UK citizenship test on the Home Office’s practice website.

I’m not entirely convinced that creating a website that gives you the answers to the questions you’re going to get in the test is such a good idea although if you want to make sure that nobody fails, it’s a brilliant plan.  Hopefully the English test isn’t judged by the person who wrote the website because they used the wrong spelling of practice (the website is a thing, not a doing).
I got 50 which means I failed.  Which is hardly surprising because the questions really are, as I mentioned in the opening line of this post, bollocks.

Q1: In the 1980s, the largest immigrant groups were from the West Indies, Ireland, India and Pakistan.

I said true but apparently it wasn’t, it was Americans, Aussies, South Africans and Kiwis.

Q2: Which TWO of these are names for the Church of England?

I said Anglican and Presbyterian but apparently it’s Anglican and Episcopal.  The other option was Methodist.

Q3: How many parliamentary constituencies are there?

I said 646 and I was right.  The other options were 464, 564 and 664.

Q4: Which of these statements is correct?

Education at state schools in the UK is free and this includes the cost of school uniform and sports wear
Education at state schools in the UK is free but parents have to pay for school uniform and sports wear

The second one is the right answer of course, unless you’re an asylum seeker in which case you can get a grant.

Q5: Many job applications will require a covering letter and

a document showing proof of identity
your national insurance number
a Curriculum Vitae
a signed photograph

The answer is, of course, a CV but a lot of companies now are so scared of being prosecuted for employing illegal immigrants that they insist on a copy of your passport or driving licence even if you’ve lived your whole life here.

Q6: ‘Ulster Scots is a dialect which is spoken in Northern Ireland.’

I said false but the answer was true which I actually did know but I must have misread the question.

Q7: In which year did married women get the right to divorce their husband?

1837
1857
1875
1882

The answer is 1857 but really, who actually knows the answer to that question?

Q8: In which TWO of the following places does the European Parliament meet?

London
Strasbourg
Paris
Brussels

The answer is Strasbourg and Brussels which I got right naturally.  Interesting that a question relating to EU citizenship should be in the British citizenship test but it’s not the only one.

Q9: Which of the following TWO types of people get their prescriptions free of charge?

People aged 60 or over
People aged 18 or under
Pregnant women or those with a baby under 12 months old
People on the minimum wage

Now, there must be a different version of this test in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland because in Wales the answer is everyone and in Scotland and Northern Ireland it’s nearly everyone.  The answer in England is People aged 60 or over and pregnant women or those with a baby under 12 months old.  I answered that one incorrectly, I think I was too busy seething about the question.

Q10: ‘Adults who have been unemployed for six months are usually required to join New Deal if they wish to continue receiving benefit.’

I answered true because I’m not au fait with this particular bullshit scheme for occupying lazy unemployable people.  It’s false though, it’s 18 months.  Like it matters.

Q11: The number of children and young people up to the age of 19 in the UK is

13 million
14 million
15 million
16 million

The answer is 15 million, I said 16 million.  Why would anyone need to know this?

Q12: The percentage of people in the UK in 2001 who said they were Muslims was

1.6%
2.7%
3.4%
4.2%

I said 3.4% but it’s actually 2.7%.  The others presumably said “no speaky English” like they usually do when a white man in a suit knocks on their door (I’m speaking from experience here).

Q13: A quango is

a government department
a non-departmental public body
an arm of the judiciary
an education establishment

None of those is really correct (it’s a Quasi Non-Governmental Organisation) but non-departmental public body was the closest and “correct” answer.

Q14: ‘You can attend a hospital without a GP’s letter only in the case of an emergency.’

The “correct” answer is true according to the test but the right answer is false because hospitals provide many drop-in clinics where you don’t need a letter from your GP.

Q15: Information about training opportunities can be found from which TWO of the following?

The local library
The local council offices
Learndirect
The Home Office

The answer is local library and Learndirect.  I got that one right.

Q16: Which of the following statements is correct?

Information in the census is immediately available for the public to search
Information in the census is kept secret for 100 years

I answered that it is kept secret for 100 years (not strictly true – it’s shared widely with quangos) which was the “correct” answer.

Q17: Which TWO of the following can vote in all UK public elections?

Citizens of the Irish Republic resident in the UK
Citizens of EU states resident in the UK
Citizens of the Commonwealth resident in the UK
Anyone resident in the UK

I said EU and Commonwealth but it’s Irish and Commonwealth.  I was going to disagree but I just noticed the word “all” in there.

Q18: Schools must be open

150 days a year
170 days a year
190 days a year
200 days a year

I randomly chose 190 which is the right answer.  I have 4 children, 3 of which are in school and I really didn’t know.  Who, other than a teacher, would know?

Q19: From which TWO places can you obtain advice if you have a problem at work and need to take further action?

The Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
Your local MP
Your employer
The national Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS)

The correct answer is CAB and ACAS.  I got this one right too.

Q20: The official report of the proceedings of Parliament is called

the Speaker’s notes
Hansard
the electoral register
the constitution

The answer is, of course, Hansard.

Q21: Which of these statements is correct?

For cars and motorbikes the speed limit on single carriageways is 60mph
For cars and motorbikes the speed limit on single carriageways is 70mph

The “correct” answer is 60mph but that’s not true because the car hating British government has encourage the car hating nazis in local councils to reduce speed limits to often ridiculously low speeds and as a result, the speed limit on single carriageway roads can be anywhere between 5mph and 60mph.

Q22: A by-election is held

half-way through the life of a Parliament
every two years
when an MP dies or resigns
when the Prime Minister decides to call one

Again, one that can’t be answered correctly.  The “correct” answer is when an MP dies or resigns but an MP can’t resign, they have to apply for a job as a paid agent of the Crown – usually the Crown Steward and Bailiff of the three Chiltern Hundreds of Stoke, Desborough and Burnham or Steward of the Manor of Northstead – at which point they become ineligble to sit in the Commons and are removed from office as an MP.  You see, this is the sort of thing that should be in a citizenship test.

Q23: Which of these statements is correct?

Children aged 13-16 cannot work more than 12 hours in any school week
Children aged 13-16 cannot work more than 10 hours in any school week

The correct answer, apparently, is 12 hours.  I said 10.  But again, who knows this sort of stuff generally?

Q24: Which of the following statements is true?

The governing body of the EU is the Council of the European Union
The governing body of the EU is the Council of Europe

It’s the Council of the European Union apparently but I’ve only ever heard it called the Council of Europe.  The right answer, of course, is France and Germany but that wasn’t one of the options.

So there you have it, 24 questions of complete bollocks, some of which were impossible to answer correctly and all utterly trivial.

Another half a million will be in fuel poverty in 12 months time

El Gordo wants to set up a £60bn climate change fund to help poor countries come up with bullshit ways to deal with climate change.

Meanwhile, BBC News is reporting this morning (on the TV but not on the website for some reason) that an extra half a million families could be forced into fuel poverty because electricity companies are being forced to spend billions on expensive, inefficient and unreliable windmills instead of cheap, reliable power stations to hit bullshit government targets.

This is just getting beyond a fucking joke.  Climate change has been happening for millions of years and it will continues to happen for millions of fucking years.  There is no proof – not one single piece of evidence that stands up to the briefest of scrutiny – that the climate is being changed by human activity in any significant or detrimental way.

Windmills and solar panels can’t even come close to producing enough electricity to meet demand.  Relying on “renewable” energy will turn electricity into a luxury that only the ruling classes can afford which will, of course, solve the problem of electricity rationing which we will be seeing in the next few years.

And to rub salt into the wound, we’re going to be contributing our “fair share” of a £60bn fund so that corrupt third world despots can come up with similar bullshit claimte change policies while an extra half a million people are expected to be spending 10% of their income on gas and electricity in the next 12 months.

Where on earth can I get away from this fucking bullshit?  I swear to god, much more of this and I’m going to go postal in Westminster Palace.

Institutional discrimination in the Ministry for Inequality

The Ministry for Inequality really is a bottomless pit of hypocrisy.  I sent the following Freedom of Information request the other day:

1.  What proportion of the Ministry’s employees are:
a. Male
b. Female

2.  What proportion of the Ministry’s employees are:
a. White English (or British if you don’t record English nationality)
b. White non-English (or British if you don’t record English
nationality)
c. BME

3.  What plans there are to appoint a Minister for Men.  If there are
none, why not?

The Ministry for Inequality has a Minister for Women but no Minister for Men and the three Ministers for Equality are women.  As expected, the Ministry for Inequality is heavily biased against men in its workforce as well:

Dear Mr Parr

GEO/09/FOI/000024

Thank you for your request for information sent on 28 April, which we have dealt with under the Freedom of Information Act.  I can confirm that the Department holds the information you are seeking.

1.  What proportion of the Ministry’s employees are:
a. Male
b. Female

Of our 118 staff in post:
42 are male &
76 are female.

2.  What proportion of the Ministry’s employees are:
a. White English (or British if you don’t record English nationality)
b. White non-English (or British if you don’t record English
nationality)
c. BME

Of the staff that have declared their ethnic identity:

36 are White British
30 are from Another white backgrounds
11 are from Black African/Caribbean background.

3.  What plans there are to appoint a Minister for Men.  If there are
none, why not?

Ministerial appointments are a matter for the Prime Minister.  The second part of your question is not strictly a Freedom of Information request, however we are sometimes asked about a Minister for Men. The following is the response that we use :

“The Government recognises that there are areas in British society where men face disadvantage or discrimination but the quickest glance at our income and poverty figures will show that overall, women are the main victims of inequality in our country.

This remains true today despite the passing of the Equal Pay and Sex Discrimination legislation almost 40 years ago. For example:

Women account for over half of the United Kingdom’s population, but only make up 19.4% of MPs and 29.3% of local councillors.
Black, Asian and Ethnic minority women account for 11.6% of the UK’s female population but make up less than 1% of local councillors.
Only 11% of the directors in the boardrooms of the top 100 FTSE companies are female;
The gap between the pay of male and female workers is currently 12.6% for full times and 39.1% for part-timers.
In 2007/08 there were 106 homicides where the perpetrator was the partner/ex-partner of the victim. Of these, 72 victims were female and 34 male;
Women still shoulder the lion’s share of caring for the old and the young and 90.5% (2001 Census) of lone parents are female.”

So almost two thirds of the Ministry for Inequality’s employees are women, they have no male ministers and there are no plans to create a Minister for Men to represent the specific interests of men in the same way that the Minister for Women does for women.  White “British” (I would imagine “British” in this case mostly means English as the Ministry for Inequality is in London) employees are also in a minority if the recorded information is representative of the whole workforce.
How on earth can the Ministry for Inequality use the way people vote as justification for discrimination?  If we didn’t vote for any women in the next election, what business is that of the state?  The whole point of democracy is that we can vote for who we want, when we want.

There are plenty of women working their way up through the ranks at FTSE100 companies but large multi-nationals tend not to employ people just because they’re women, being able to run a large multi-national is usually one of the key requirements.

How much of the “gender pay gap” is down to the type of work being done rather than the fact that they’re women?

Is the Ministry for Inequality really suggesting that a Minister for Women can reduce the number of women murdered by their current or former partner?  Does Ms Harperson also have the answer to the problems in the middle east and a cure for cancer?

And the reason why 90.5% of single parents are women is because the system is institutionally biased towards women.  In cases of marital breakdown, the mother will automatically be given custody unless there is a good reason not to.

So the Ministry for Equality really doesn’t live up to its name at all.  Institutional discrimination is clearly rife in the Ministry for Inequality but they don’t seem to have any intention to clean their act up despite intending to pass a bill forcing companies to publish this sort of information.  If publicising the gender bias in the Ministry for Inequality doesn’t banish discrimination in a government department, why is it going to make a difference in a private company?

Harriet Harperson is a shamelss hypocrite.  Don’t forget to sign the petition calling on the Prime Minister to appoint a Minister for Men and deal with the gender bias in the Ministry for Inequality.

Who’s the Daddy?

A committee of MPs has produced a report saying that the British government get more involved in the parenting of “disadvantaged” children.

The report is looking at disadvantaged children in social care but the term “disadvantaged” has plenty of scope for expansion into other areas – children with learning difficulties, children with behavioural problems, children from poor families.  Anyone familiar with George Orwell’s 1984 will see yet another parallel between the Orwellian society in 1984 and England under Liebour where children are indoctrinated with propaganda and end up shopping their parents to Big Brother for thought crimes.  The British government’s current healthy eating propaganda programme (in England only and which fails to promote a healthy, balanced diet) provides materials to primary schools telling children to challenge their parents if they prepare a meal that the British government has deemed to be unhealthy.
Far from taking a more active role in parenting, the British government needs to poke its nose out of our private lives and get on with what it’s actually there for – to make sure we’re safe and to provide essential services.  We don’t need to be told how to live our lives, what to eat, what to drink, what to think.  We need the state to basically just fuck off and die and leave us to live our lives.

Wilkins Ice Shelf still hanging on by a thread, apparently

The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), government-funded “scientists”, have announced that the Wilkins Ice Shelf in the Antarctic is on the verge of collapsing.

Funnily enough, the BAS said exactly the same thing last year except last year the Wilkins Ice Shelf was the size of the Isle of Man and this year it’s the size of Wales.  That’s a hell of a lot of growth considering that global warming is supposed to be melting all the ice.

And there’s still no explanation from the BAS or any other global warming propagandists as to how the Wilkins Ice Shelf can collapse in 1998 and again in 2008 2009.

There is, of course, one explanation for all this: it’s another piece of outdated propaganda, invented by the author of the IPPC work of fiction on climate change (who happens to be the BAS lead “scientist”) and faithfully reproduced by lazy journalists in the mainstream media.

ContactPoint

The Department for Children, Schools and Families had a full page advert in the Shropshire Star last night for their ContactPoint database.

Contact Point Advert

ContactPoint is a massive centralised database that local authorities in England are legally obliged to populate with the details of every child under the age of 18, along with details of their parents, school, GP and childrens services.  The advert says the database is secure and can only be used by people who are security clared and trained but as with every other government database, it’s not secure enough for the children of MPs to be put in it.

The advert is pure propaganda, nothing more, nothing less.  ContactPoint is an instrument of the British police state and will be abused from day one.  The advert says that children will only be on ContactPoint until they’re 18, it doesn’t say what will happen to the records.  Data Protection laws say that the records have to be kept for a reasonable amount of time after they’re no longer used and after collecting all this information, there is no way the British government will get rid of it – it will simply be moved to the adult identity database where even more information will be added to it so the authorities have a complete picture of every proles life from cradle to grave.

I refuse to accept that details of my children and myself can be put on an insecure database without my consent.  It’s a breach of our right to privacy under Article 8 of the Human Rights Act and if it’s not secure enough for Gordon Brown’s children then it’s not secure enough for mine.

I’ve just sent the following email to my local council:

Seeing the full page propaganda piece from the Department for Children, Schools and Families has done nothing to convince me that ContactPoint is simply a benign repository of information to keep children safe.

The database won’t be secure, that’s why MPs children won’t appear on it.  I cannot allow my children’s details to be entered onto an insecure database, I want them to be safe.  ContactPoint is also a breach of the right to privacy guaranteed under Article 8 of the Human Rights Act.

I forbid you from entering details of my children on the ContactPoint database.  If you do so against my express wishes I will take legal action against the council and the individual responsible for the details being entered.

My children are {censored}.

Please ensure that all relevant departments are made aware of my instructions.

Climate change propagandists are getting desperate

A massive gathering of climate change propagandists in Denmark have upped the stakes in the increasingly ludicrous and alarmist game of apocalyptic predictions.
The current prediction by the propagandists is that sea levels will rise by about 2ft in the next few years but not enough people are panicking and throwing money at them to save the world so they’ve decided it’s now going to be somewhere between 3.5ft and 5ft.

The “scientist” who seems to have come up with the new prediction is Konrad Steffan.  I can’t find much about him other than the fact that he’s backed by Nasa and has made a lucrative career out of climate change, appearing in a film and a book on the subject.

Unfortunately, as money gets tighter, the propagandists are going to come up with more and more batshit scare stories to try and justify the massive grants they need to fund the expensive lifestyles to which they’ve become accustomed on our taxes.  Expect to see more of this kind of alarmist, scientifically baseless shit as time goes on.
On a related note, it was good to see Prince Charles doing his bit for the environment, flying to South America on a chartered jet and travelling by stretch limo with a 6 car motorcade to talk about climate change.  I wonder if the Brazilians will show him the cast swathes of CO2 recycling rainforest that are being cleared to grow crops for biofuels?

Lies, Damn Lies and Statistics

The British government is seriously considering dropping the national speed limit from 60mph to 50mph.

There will be an option for local authorities to increase the speed limit on major roads back to 60mph if they can give a good enough reason to do so.  Although, as the highways departments of most local authorities seem to be filled with car-hating nazi’s, it isn’t likely to happen very often.

The state propaganda machine kicked into action as soon as the story got out, quoting statistics about deaths on country roads and blaming “speeding” motorists (which includes anyone driving anywhere near the speed limit on a country road) for the deaths.

The BBC are, of course, dutifully mis-representing the facts, telling us that the British government is planning to reduce the speed limit on rural roads.  This isn’t the case – the plan is to reduce the national speed limit on all single carriageway roads with average speed cameras to enforce the speed limit.

Jim Fitzpatrick, the British minister for Transport in England, said:

There will be some in the driving lobby who think this is a further attack and a restriction on people’s freedom. But when you compare that to the fact we are killing 3,000 people a year on our roads, it would be irresponsible not to do something about it.

And how many of those 3,000 were killed by speeding motorists?  And of those speeding motorists, how many were drink driving, using their mobile phone, playing with their car stereo, doing their make-up in the rear view mirror?  I’d be surprised if more than a quarter of those were killed because of someone speeding and no other reason but you won’t get statistics like that out of the British government because that doesn’t fit in with the evil motorists ethos.

He went on to say:

If you look at the figures on rural roads, there are disproportionately more people dying there than on any other roads. The nature of some rural roads, with dips and bends and difficult conditions, means that the 60mph limit is not enough.

So why can’t local authorities use the powers they already have to reduce the speed limit on dangerous rural roads?  The national speed limit applies to roads that don’t have a specific speed limit so if there is a dangerous road, the relevant local authority just needs to put a speed limit on it.

Fitzpatrick finishes by saying that:

I’m sure that the vast majority of motorists would support the proposals.

Well, there’s one easy way of finding out isn’t there?  Put it to a referendum, I’m sure we’d all love to tell you what we think.

One thing I’ve not been able to determine – and the British government certainly wouldn’t say in a press release – is whether this is another England-only policy being imposed on us by the British government.  Transport is devolved, after all, and most single carriageway roads aren’t trunk roads.

Global Warming propagandists blame Australian fires on climate change

The wildfires in Australia are a terrible disaster for the country with over a hundred people killed but why do the global warming propagandists have to seize on every natural disaster to try and scare people into believing in their scam?

The State of Victoria has assigned 100 police officers to investigate the fires which they believe were started deliberately and are treating it as a murder inquiry.  But in the next breath, the global warming propagandists at the state government are saying that the fires are down to climate change.

Australia is mostly desert and has been for centuries. It is the fact that most of the continent is hot and dry that causes fires to spread – which happens pretty much every year – not climate change which is causing a decrease in global temperatures.

Australians have been told by their government that the fires have been caused by climate change but if a police inquiry discovers that the fires were started deliberately, will the government publically announce that it was nothing to do with climate change after all?  No, because there is only one thing that’s incompatible with climate change theory and that is admitting when it’s wrong.

Snow in Jamaica wouldn’t be incompatible with global warming

The Met Office’s chief advisor to the British government has just told the BBC that “severe snow storms aren’t incompatible with global warming”.

He said that years ago we had severe snow storms every 5 years and now it’s only every 18 years.  Extend that back through history and during the ice ages we had severe snow storms permanently and during the warm periods we went without them for decades.

The global warming scam is such big business now, nothing is incompatible with global warming according to the experts.  The earth is cooling in defiance of the predictions but that’s not incompatible with global warming.  The trend is towards global cooling but that’s not incompatible with global warming.  The micro-changes to our climate are nothing unusual but that’s not incompatible with global warming.

Telford wants to be a speed camera pioneer

Telford & Wrekin Council are on the offensive promoting their plans to put average speed cameras on the A442 dual carriageway through the town and surprise, surprise, the BBC have stepped in to do their propaganda work for them.

The A442 dual carriageway – more commonly known as the Eastern Primary locally – is one of the safest roads of its type in the country.  The number of accidents and casualties was very low for a busy 70mph dual carriageway with lots of junctions running through the middle of a town.  But the “experts” at the council weren’t content with having one of the safest roads in the country, they had to mess with it.

A couple of years ago they decided to change the layout of the road, making some of the dual carriageway a single carriageway creating filter lanes.  They also dropped the speed limit from 70mph to 60mph.  A year or so later and the number of accidents is down but the number of casualties is up which means that the accidents that are still happening are involving more people and/or vehicles and the road is more dangerous than before they buggered about with it.

The sensible thing to do would be to put the road back the way it was and make it safer again but local authorities aren’t sensible so what they’re actually planning to do is put up more signs and install average speed roadside tax collectors “safety” cameras.  Signs such as this one on the side of the road in question, telling you may accidents there have been on the road:

Yes, that’s a Ford Ka embedded in the road sign.

The BBC failed to mention the fact that the council had made the road more dangerous in their piece which devoted about three quarters of its 1 minute 44 clip to promoting the speed cameras and included footage of another stretch of the A442 that isn’t in Telford and is about 5 or 6 miles from where the speed cameras are planned.  Peter Roberts, the anti-road pricing campaigner and head of the Drivers Alliance, got a few seconds to put across the sole voice of reason just before they switched to a picture of a roadside memorial to someone killed in an accident.

Jacqui Smith: lying facist bitch

According to Jacqui Smith, we all want ID cards as soon as possible.

So many people stop her in the street and tell her they don’t want to wait to hand permanent control of their identity to the British government and have all their personal details and biometric data stored in a big database forever that she’s going to offer a pre-registration scheme to see just how much overwhelming support there is for them.

At first I thought she was getting confused with people saying “Fuck off Smith you fascist bitch” but when I thought about it some more I realised that she couldn’t be mishearing what people were saying and came to the conclusion that she’s actually just a lying fucking nazi bitch.
Something tells me that the number of retarded sheep pre-registering won’t be compared to the number signing the NØ2ID pledge saying they’d rather go to prison that submit to the database state which will eclipse the pre-registration figures but that won’t stop it being held up as proof that the public wants ID cards.

The Daily Mash, as always, has an entertaining take on the story: Public can’t wait to be truncheoned across the jaw, says Smith.

Gordo announces new package of old measures to help with energy bills

El Gordo, the great provider, has seemingly rediscovered socialism.

According to the BBC he’s unveiled a £910m package of measures to help people pay for their gas and electricity without putting peoples’ bills up.  Typical of the lazy-assed reporting that you see at the BBC when they’re faithfully spinning No Mandate Brown’s bullshit propaganda for him, they fail to point out that most of it is old news.

Free cavity wall and loft insulation for pensioners and poor households?  That’s been available for years, even took advantage of it myself.

50% off the cost of insulation for all households?  Not 100% sure on this but I think grants have been available for some time available to everyone.

Freeze on this year’s bills for half a million poor consumers?  The social tariffs have been in for a couple of years now.

Partial reversal of cut to warm front programme giving free central heating to poorest pensioners?  Why was it cut in the first place?  The Gord giveth and the Gord taketh away.  All pensioners in Scotland are entitled to free central heating.

Cold weather payments to go up from £8.50 a week to £25 a week for pensioners, disabled people and unemployed families with children under five if temperatures drop below zero for seven consecutive days.  I’d be interested to know how many times this happens.  My guess is, on average, roughly once ina  blue moon (where does that phrase come from, incidently?).

The Goblin King says the British government aims to insulate every home in Britain (you sure about the “B” word there? Warm Front is England-only) by 2020.  Will homeowners be forced to insulate their homes with penalties for those that don’t?  What if you don’t have cavity walls or a loft or you are one of those people that believes filling cavity walls with insulation is a bad idea because cavity walls were invented to stop damp?  Not every home can be insulated and when I had my house done, Warm Front wouldn’t pay for the floor of of a bedroom we have over the top of an alleyway to be insulated so the room is still unusable in the winter.

Now don’t worry yourself about the cost either.  It’s not going to be passed on to the consumer:

I do not expect the £910m that we raise to be passed on to the consumer by the energy companies. I think that’s a very important point to make.

Oh yes Gordo, very important.  New legislation is going to be passed requiring energy companies to pay for this near billion pound social spending bonanza which will take a few months at least to work its way through Parliament so just watch your gas and electric bill rocket over the coming months to compensate for the stealth windfall tax.

Greenpeace green light for criminal damage

The Greenpeace ecoterrorists that broke into Kingsnorth power station during a protest against the proposed building of a new, cleaner coal powered station on to replace the current one, have been acquitted of charges of criminal damage.

The ecoterrorists broke into the power station and climbed the chimney during their protest causing the power station to be shut down and £30k worth of damage.

Their defence was that the law says you can cause reasonable damage to property to prevent greater damage being caused and that a new power station would cause greater damage to the climate than the damage to the power station.

Holy.  Fucking.  Shit.

This is going to open the floodgates for similar action, safe in the knowledge that a jury has just given the green light to ecoterrorists to cause tens of thousands of pounds worth of damage to private property if it’s in the name of fighting climate change.  Please, nobody tell Greenpeace and lets hope they don’t figure out that they’ve now got carte blanche to go around terrorising anyone and everyone in their fucking dipshit hippy crusade.

Oh shit, we’re too late.  Here’s one of the pale faced fuckwits talking to reporters outside the court:

This verdict we think marks a tipping point for the climate change movement when 12 normal people say that it is legitimate for a direct action group to shut down a coal fired power station because of the harm that it does to the planet then one has to ask where that leaves government energy policy.

Normal?  They broke into a power station, climbed a fucking 650ft chimney, shut down a power station and caused £30k of damage.  Fucking normal?  They’re fucking retarded hippy terorists that need locking up.

Where will it stop?  The ecoterrorists want to stop us driving cars because they say they’re damaging the environment so how long will it be before we can expect gangs of feral, dreadlocked ecoterrorist hippies roaming around housing estates trashing cars?

Won’t somebody do the decent thing and shoot these fucking retards?

Oxfam accuses us of killing poor people

Another day, another bullshit propaganda report into climate change.

Oxfam says that climate change is killing poor people because of failing crops and losing water supplies to droughts.

Climate change was first seen as a scientific problem, then an economic one,” explained report author Kate Raworth. “Now it is becoming a matter of international justice.

Erm, no – first it was seen as bollocks, then it was seen as utter bollocks, now it’s being seen as a fucking big pile of horse shit.

Litigation is seldom the best way to solve a dispute.

I don’t know, it was the only way one scientist was able to get his name taken off the crock of shit IPPC report on climate change which he had resigned from because it was unscientific and politically motivated.

However, vulnerable countries do need options to protect themselves. Rich country polluters have been fully aware of their culpability for many years.

Damn those rich capitalists, they represent all that is evil in the world.  Sorry, since when did Oxfam become a mouthpiece for the global socialist movement?

In April 2007, a working group of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), consisting of hundreds of environmental experts, published a report warning that people living in poverty would be the worst affected by climate change.

The lead author of the IPCC report is a lying propagandist and since that report was published, 500 experts have signed the Manhattan Declaration and 31,000 have signed the Oregon Petition disagreeing with the concept of anthropogenic climate change and stating their opposition to the IPCC report.

Oxfam has called for a twin approach of mitigation and adaption to ensure human rights formed a central pillar of climate policies

The only climate change policy should be to prepare ourselves to adapt to a different climate if that’s the way things go.  The billions being spent trying to stop climate change from happening, just like it has for millions of years, could be spent on erradicating disease and povery.

How much did Oxfam spend on this bullshit report?  How much of the money intended to feed, clothe, educate and provide medical care to the worlds poorest people was pissed up the wall producing this piece of political propaganda?  Is it any wonder charities find it hard to convince people to donate money when they produce shit like this?

There is no consensus on climate change and there has been no global warming since 1998.  A whole industry has grown around peddling climate change propaganda with “scientists” having access to billions of pounds of funding to produce even more propaganda and drown out the voices of common sense.

Well fuck you Oxfam, I’ll make sure that you never get a penny out of me or my family.

More Climate Change propaganda

The climate change propagandists are flapping about the North West Passage and holding it up as a shining example of how the evil capitalist human race is destroying the planet.

The North West Passage is the stretch of sea where the Arctic ice meets North America.  Usually the only ships that can navigate the North West Passage are big ice breakers and only then during the summer melt.  However, the Vikings are known to have made use of part of the North West Passage, around a couple of Canadian arctic islands which demonstrates that the North West Passage has been navigable by simple wooden ships in the past and that being permanently blocked by ice isn’t the natural state for the North West Passage.

When I read the propagandists claim that the North West Passage opening up again was down to anthropogenic climate change the first thing that came to my mind was not “we’re doooooooomed” but “ok, it’s been open before then it was blocked and now it’s opening again – so what?”.  Surely anyone with an ounce of common sense would look at the fact that the North West Passage has been open in the past when the only polution humans put into the atmosphere was from the odd blacksmiths furnace or a particularly rancid fart and come to the conslusion that this is just a natural event?

British Government Response to EU Cost Benefit petition

A few months ago I started a petition on the 10 Downing Street website calling on the British government to commission an independent cost-benefit analysis of our membership of Federal Europe.

Here’s their response:

This Government strongly believes that the benefits of EU Membership clearly outweigh the costs. UK membership of the EU is central to the pursuit of stability, growth and employment, and firmly in our national interest, both economically and in a wider political and strategic context. Our membership of the EU has brought real benefits in jobs, peace and security. Through it, we belong to the world’s biggest trading bloc with a Single Market of over 490 million people. Half the UK’s trade is now within the EU, with an estimated 3.5 million British jobs linked to it, directly and indirectly. 57% of total British trade in goods is with the EU. 62% of our total exports go to the EU. In 2005, British investments in the EU totalled over £17bn.

The benefits are not limited to the rights of British companies to buy and sell across the Single Market. Our EU membership also allows our citizens to live, work, study and travel across Europe and to receive free medical care if we fall sick on holiday. Improved maternity pay, the right to paid holidays and now the reduction in the cost of mobile phone calls when abroad, are just some of the practical benefits the EU has helped deliver.

A number of studies related to the costs and benefits of various aspects of the EU are available in the UK.  The Government takes account of such studies as part of its ongoing approach to EU policy issues.

The Government does not therefore see the need to commission an independent cost-benefit analysis of membership of the EU.

This really isn’t good enough, is it?  What they’re basically saying is “other people have done it so we’re not going to bother”.  What they fail to mention is that most studies – other than those commissioned by Federal Europe or their quislings – disagree with their own analysis and estimate the net cost of membership at billions of pounds every year.

And that old chestnut on peace – give me a break!  Out of the 27 current member states, 15 of them have been involved in a war of some description since Federal Europe was created.  Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia all had spats with the USSR and/or revolutions in the last 50 years.  The UK and the Republic of Ireland experienced what was effectively a civil war with the IRA and other terrorist groups based in Northern Ireland and Eire.  Slovenia was involved in the civil war in Yugsolavia, Spain has seen revolution and civil war in the last 50 years with Basque seperatists waging a civil war still today and Greece has had two revolutions in the last 50 years whilst Northern Cyprus is still under occupation by Turkey.  Pretty much every other European country that isn’t a member state of Federal Europe has been involved in war in the last 50 years, including the candidate countries of Croatia, Macedonia and Turkey and the potential candidate countries of Albania, Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro.  Let’s be very clear about this, Federal Europe has not prevented war in Europe.  The only war it has stopped is another war started by the Germans who have no need to invade their neighbours because they’re already running most of the continent with their new best buddies, the French.

What about stability?  That one doesn’t get an airing as often as the “preventing war” bollocks.  Let’s see – Belgium is falling apart, the UK is falling apart, Spain is falling apart, Czechoslovakia already fell apart and so did Yugoslavia.  The UN still patrols a buffer zone between Greek and Turkish Cyprus and Georgia is still being occupied by Russia.  Poland has lost so much of its healthy male population to economic migration that they’re handing out passports like sweets and Turkey seems to be permanently on the brink of an Islamic coup.  Stable, my arse.

And the last big lie – the economic benefits.  Federal Europe costs us a bloody fortune.  We give far more to the EU budget than we get out of it and the trade that we do with Federal Europe doesn’t require membership costing billions of pounds – Greenland, Norway and Switzerland have prospered outside of Federal Europe by negotiating free trade agreements without handing over the running of their country to a bunch of foreigners.

I’ve just put the following FOI into the Foreign & Commonwealth Office:

In the British government’s response to the petition calling for a cost-benefit analysis of membership of the EU, it says that it has taken into account different studies considering the UK’s membership and does not need to carry out its own analysis.  I would like to know:

1. Which studies have been considered
2. Who considered those studies and what were their qualifications to make a judgement on the conclusions of the studies considered
3. Which studies were not considered

Furthermore, the British government’s response to the petition repeated the assertion that the EU has resulted in peace in Europe.  I would like to know:

4. How many of the current member states have been involved in armed conflict on their own soil, including conflict with seperatist movements, revolutions and coup d’états, in the last 50 years
5. The same question as #4 but for current candidate countries
6. The same question as #4 but for potential candidate countries
7. The same question as #4 but for other European countries that aren’t included in the previous 3 questions

Let’s see them worm their way out of this one.

Shropshire Star: Website has shades of Orwell’s 1984 about it

This is in tonight’s Shropshire Star …

Website has shades of Orwell’s 1984 about it

I was pointed in the direction of the npower website and was both shocked and disturbed by their low carbon economy section.  In this section npower encourages children to keep a diary of “climate crimes” committed by their parents and to challenge them to change their ways.

They even have a Climate Cops pack for schools to indoctrinate our children in the ways of eco-extremism.  Anyone who has read George Orwell’s 1984 will immediately recognise the tactic of recruiting children to spy on their parents.

Orwell intended his book as a warning, not an instruction manual.  The day my children come home from school and tell me they’ve been told to keep a diary of my “cliamte crimes” will be a very unfortunate day for the teacher that told them to do it!

Impartiality my arse

OFCOM has ruled that Channel 4 failed in its duty to be impartial and reflect a range of views when it broadcast the Great Global Warming Swindle, a documentary that set out to expose the lies around man made global warming.

But, strangely, Al Gore’s climate change propaganda, An Inconvenient Truth, can be shown in schools as long as the teacher tells the children that it doesn’t represent an alternative viewpoint.

Where’s the impartiality in that?

Global warming isn’t happening and that’s a fact.  It’s a fact that is confirmed by climate scientists on both sides of the climate change scam – sceptics and propagandists alike.  The lead author of the IPPC report on climate change was exposed as an ouright lying propagandist when he tried to whip up hysteria earlier this year by telling the worlds media that the Wilkins Ice Shelf was “hanging on by a thread” and in danger of collapsing because of climate change when it had already collapsed a decade previously.  Al Gore’s propaganda film was based on the IPPC report, as is the climate change policy of Federal Europe and its puppet governments.

The Manhattan Declaration, signed by 500 climatologists and other climate experts and the Oregon Petition, signed by over 31,000 scientists (9,000 of which are PhD’s), both refute the claims of the climate change propagandists and criticise Al Gore’s propaganda film yet they are ignored entirely in favour of a report authored by a liar, paid to “prove” climate change is down to human activity and apparently endorsed by only 2,500 scientists, 400 of which said that their names were added to the report without their knowledge.

Where’s the impartiality in that?

There is no fucking impartiality because if the truth was allowed to be broadcast, the lying propagandist scum who are helping to cause a global recession, the destruction of the global economy and hiking up taxes on the basis of a lie will be royally fucked.

Come the revolution, they will all be up against the wall.  Especially the Bishop of Stafford.  I’ve got a special lamp post reserved just for him.
